Secretary App

The idea behind this app is many people rather look at the schedule for their health care provider and select a time for their appointment. This cuts out the need to check with a secretary about what times are available. The user just selects the time they want from available slots, then a notification is given to the secretary to either accept or decline the appointment, and if approved the appointment is shown on the doctor's schedule.

My main role was to link the data to a cloud database that would update the schedule and information about each appointment as well as store user information. Google firebase was my choice in a cloud database since it was readily available and worked well with our development in Android Studio.

Mammoth Hunting Simulation

I worked with a team that went to a local museum to see if they had any kind of need we could help with. They said they would love an interactive game to go with their mammoth exhibit. We decided to use Unity to build the environment and run the simulation. Blender was used to create the mammoth model and animations. OpenCV was primarily used to track the motion of the player's hand in order to throw the spear at the mammoth.

This project stretched our abilities as we tried to script events using C# and figure out how to track a hand with a camera. In the end are finished product is a short game that can be played on a regular computer and used for when the museum travels to schools to present to children.
